Go Down Grinning
Tuesday. We've talked about rain around here and we've had some - a shower here, a shower there - but this afternoon it seems to have started in earnest. No lightening, no thunder (yet, anyway), but a good solid downpour. I'm glad I left work early during a lull. I carry two or three plastic bags with me when I'm carrying a camera and tie the camera up in plastic before throwing it over my shoulder when it's raining. It's sitting on the floor at the moment, still wrapped in white plastic. I may just leave it til tomorrow and avoid retying it in the morning. What effect will this have on the Sacramento levies? Who knows? Thinking about it seems ghoulish.

I've done berzip with the photographs this last month, since my last session in the studio actually. Doesn't matter. The teeth have been fixed and they feel somewhat better and I started a ten day antibiotics treatment this morning for the sinuses. We'll see. I'll probably know if it will have an effect by the weekend, four or five days into the regime. One hopes, one hopes or else one will end up whining about sinuses through summer.

Christ, you've been writing about this for years. What makes you think you'll ever stop whining?

Because I will hang up my ISP and get heavily into the sake. If one is to go down, one should go down grinning.

The photograph was taken in Oakland with a Nikon D2x mounted with a 17-55mm 2.8 Nikkor lens at 1/400th second, f 4.5, ISO 100.
