To The City
Thursday. Another nice day here at the end of the rainbow: up early, went to breakfast just as the café kitchen was opening at seven. Seven? Why? Who knows? I got to bed at a decent hour. The waitress asked me as I was paying what I was going to do with the rest of my morning, “take a nap”? Yes, I said. She, a bit jealous perhaps realizing I might actually be telling her the truth. So I did. An hour and a half in bed drifting in and out of consciousness after returning to the apartment. Still tired after a noon hour walk. Is this the way it's going to be? Naps? Could be worse. A Guinness or two in San Francisco meeting with the usual crew later this afternoon around five, perhaps another nap before I leave to charge my batteries for the BART ride to the city.
