Sleep

Thursday. To sleep pretty much right away after ten to awaken then at six-thirty feeling pretty well rested. Nice. Another sunny morning driving to breakfast, more parked cars near the restaurant and so parked in front of the veterinarian's clinic, snapped a picture of their new distance marker and walked the short distance to the restaurant to enter the closed off dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. Another morning in Oakland.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, no creativity there, although it tasted good. Finished up by a quarter after nine to head back to the car and drive home to take the selfie before settling in with what little I'd written yesterday before posting. The head seems clear, more so as the morning goes along, and so thoughts of doing something other than vegetate on the bed with the tablet. I have periods like this - do this, do that - but not as often.

Later. Thoughts of “doing something” seem to have evaporated with a nap around noon. Still, nice to wonder there for a bit. Back to the tablet and the news.

Evening. Made it a point to get up and check out Vera at eight, realized I'd seen it before (no surprise there) and didn't want to watch it again whether I knew the outcome or not. I didn't, of course, know the outcome, although one or two characters as they were introduced made me wonder if they weren't more than suspicious.

To bed before nine, listening to the BBC News when it came on at nine, turned the lights out and the radio off at ten. Now to see how long it takes to get to sleep.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
