Easter

Sunday. Awoke at five-thirty again feeling OK, a decent night's rest I'd say, up to get ready to drive to breakfast only to find the newspapers hadn't been delivered yet. OK, wait around for a while, the car finally driving by just as I'd given up and set out waiting for the electric garage door to open and drive to breakfast, pulling over across the street and getting out to pick them up from in front of the apartment house front door. Well, at least they'd arrived.

Drove to the Lakeshore ATM and then on to the restaurant to find it open. I'd forgotten is was Easter today and hadn't checked earlier to see if they'd changed their hours or if it would be closed. OK, a couple of interruptions of the routine, but all is well and so settled in out on the patio with the papers, pulling them apart and getting rid of the ad pages before starting. All this excitement and it wasn't even eight o'clock.

The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up well after nine to walk to the car and drive straight home to take the selfie in the lobby, finish yesterday's entry, post and start on this. Not many pictures to process and so it's only ten-thirty and we're already finished.

Later. Watched some basketball, watched some golf on the tablet, watched one or two episodes of series I'd started and that's been the afternoon. My exercise consisted of getting up now and again to move from the computer to the bed, from the bed to the computer, the television set sitting alone in the living area. Life again in the fast lane, the breeze just whizzing by.

Now, now.

Evening. Bailed for bed just before eight to again watch this and that on the tablet. Lights out by ten, my lights out happily soon after. Got a phone call earlier from my sister to exchange a Happy Easter.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Saint Stupid's Day Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-70mm f 2.8 G Nikkor lens.
