We'll Know More
Saturday. Ah, my droogies, the temperature is just fine, the fog high overhead, the Art & Soul festival starting around noon, the sleep last night well within the bounds of the human condition. Here in Oakland.
Later. Downtown after one, a walk or two around the Art & Soul area, sit while listening to something or other, a large lemonade and a hot link because, well, it was a weekend at a festival and you're allowed to throw caution to the wind when you're out and about, the head feeling a bit of vertigo which caused me to wonder if walking to the bus stop would be an adventure. It wasn't, but back now at the apartment after a couple of hours of excitement, maybe three tepid pictures in the camera.
Well, it will be an interesting election. The choice of Alaska's governor for a running mate for McCain? It's not looking nice so let's roll the dice? Bush was called a “plunger” by one of the pundits early on after the Iraq invasion, a man with a history of betting the rent on a roll of the dice. McCain as well? We'll see. It's almost like watching someone pick a partner for a gunny sack race at a picnic rather than a Vice President in a Presidential election. In a gunny sack race you can fall down and skin your knees. When a President falls, the nation bleeds. McCain evidently knows little about this woman other than what's on her resume. I suspect we'll know more, though, before this thing is finished.
