Wednesday. I probably spent more time on the tablet yesterday than I've ever spent after looking at the battery life left when I hooked it up to charge this morning before leaving for breakfast. Can't complain, a good night's sleep, awake at a quarter to six feeling pretty good on this clear, they're saying it's going to be hot today, morning.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast over the (three) papers before walking home under the sun, the temperature rising. It will be interesting to see how warm it does get with the weather people forecasting hot, hot, hot, particularly north of here in Portland and Seattle, Seattle forecast to get a hundred degree day. They've only had three of them in their recorded history. Born there, so I pay attention.

Later. The usual futzing around on the various web sites that makes up my morning routine and then a bath before walking over to the lake, if only to get out in the sun and say I'd left the apartment. Sat for a time on a bench by the white column pergola before walking over to examine the flowers they've planted along the edge of the lake to see if I could find a bee. Stood until I saw what I thought was a bee, but only the one, and then only after waiting for longer than one should if the bees were healthy. Do they use Roundup here at the lake?

OK, a chance photograph of a cormorant chasing his or her lunch, more time in the sun, and then a walk to the bus stop to check the NextBus app, seeing one was due in two minutes and so stood for the two minutes during which I talked myself out of going downtown. Been downtown. More than once. Been lots of places in this area more than once. Not upset, interesting to see the brain go round and round, but home now to wait for the afternoon news programs to start. Warm out there. Going to get warmer. Not bad here with the fan.

Evening. Continued watching an Icelandic series on the tablet after listening to the various news programs this afternoon leading to Democracy Now to start the evening. Watched bits and pieces of Midsomer Murders, bits and pieces of Law & Order (find it difficult to watch episodes of Law & Order I've seen before, even if I don't quite remember what happened in them) and then went to bed. Not a bad day even if there wasn't much going on.
