Thinking

Saturday. To sleep soon enough after ten to awaken too early at five, the chest area at the back aching way too much from sleeping on the side. This has been happening often as not for the last several years and requires me to find a position that allows it to settle down, lying on the back being the best, although lying on the back doesn't allow me to go back to sleep as it cuts the air off.

So in and out of consciousness until just before seven when I finally became fully awake and hustled to set out walking to breakfast, passing the farmers market as it was setting up and arriving at the restaurant at the usual time to settle in at my patio table with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up by nine and setting out for home to shoot another string of flower pictures plus anything else that might get my attention, the farmers market now pretty much up and running. Still dark and overcast, but the weather people are saying it will be clear and reach seventy-five degrees later as it did yesterday. Nice to hear, although it doesn't seem to lure me out of the apartment anymore. We'll see. We always say that without making any changes.

Home to take the selfie and settle in at the computer to go through the morning routine, finish yesterday's entry, post and start here on this first day of August.

Later. I do run out of steam, at least for writing, around noon, this being added the next morning. Another afternoon on the tablet, on and off watching the golf tournament on television, switching to the news at two and then back to the tablet causing me to ask: is there life after breakfast?

Evening. From Here To Eternity, a famous movie from the fifties that I remember more for the photograph of Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr lying embracing on the beach as the water washes in on them, was the Saturday night movie at eight and so I decided better to go to bed after about ten minutes in. Tired. Nothing on the radio, I'd burned out on the tablet earlier and so to turned the lights out not long after nine, get to sleep early was the thinking. If I was thinking.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
