After

Tuesday. To sleep earlier than usual to awaken briefly at five to find a position that eased the aching chest, dozing off again and awakening in time to catch the KPFA news followed by Democracy Now!. The morning was again cool and overcast so making it a point to set out and walk to breakfast in a heavier jacket, arriving a little early to settle in at my outside table and begin reading the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up not long after nine to set out for home, the sky still overcast and happy to have the heavier jacket, taking the usual set of pictures along the way, somewhat fewer pictures this time, getting a shot of the now finished roof they'd recently been planting. There'd been a fairly large crew transforming the bare roof of the box they'd built sometime back. Home to take the selfie in the lobby before settling in with yesterday's entry, posting and then starting here.

Tired as hell yesterday, not at all tired today, the head clear as I'm sitting here, clear as we're defining “clear” in these recent years.

Later. A new blood pressure meter arrived from Amazon this morning, the old one having finally given out last week after many years of service. Seems to work, although the manual seemed to have been written by cross eyed elves for whom English was an unfamiliar language. The first reading taken was right on the mark, we'll see if they hold up. Let's hope they're accurate.

A high of seventy degrees this afternoon, although the sun was only sporadic. Stayed inside and did the usual watch the mid-afternoon news programs and stuff on the tablet, the head still holding up. No complaints.

Evening. Watched Last Tango In Halifax at eight more to take a break from lying on the bed watching whatever it was on the tablet than any great interest in the program itself and, since there was nothing that followed that I wanted to watch, went back to bed right after.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
