Out
Friday. To sleep not all that long after ten. I think. Pretty sure. Awoke at a quarter to six to listen to Democracy Now! before getting up in the usual routine to set out driving to breakfast, the weather people saying into the eighties today with smoke high above, but maybe still heavy enough at street level to be a problem. A useful rationale for driving.
The ground beef patty, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, still under one fifty-five on the scale this morning, finishing up by nine to walk back to the car and drive straight home, take the selfie in the lobby, visit the bathroom and then settle in at the computer to complain about finishing yesterday's entry before posting. Such is life here in Oakland. Processed the morning pictures and started here, getting to this point before eleven. Saves lots of picture processing time when you're driving.
To the advantage for all.
Later. Got rid of magazines, cleared part of the desk, cleaned the dust off the bedroom tables and such, even cleaned the car hood and windshield. My, my. This, on and off, throughout the afternoon.
A high in the mid-eighties out there with air pollution listed as moderate and so, of course, we stayed inside.
Evening. Watched Charles Bronson's Death Wish V: The Face of Death on the tablet when I noted it seemed to have a relatively high rating and I hadn't seen it before to discover the acting, the plot and the writing/dialogue weren't worth the effort. Still, watched it straight through with the fan on at the foot of the bed, turned the lights out before ten and (one hopes) conked right out.
