What Before Noon
Monday. It's cold, I wanted a picture that reminded me of warmer times and climes. Something with feathers.

Today is the day I'm to set forth to Portland, where it's snowing and, according to the Oregon weather sites, will be snowing throughout the rest of the week. It doesn't matter so much if it snows while I'm there, it only matters on the two days I'll be driving up. Well, and back, but that's something to deal with later. My apartment manager was surprised when I gave her the keys to my apartment late yesterday so she could feed Ms. Emmy while I'm gone: “you're doing what?” Hmmm. I think I'm doing what, heading out to do what before noon.

The photograph was taken at the 2008 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D2Xs mounted with a 70 - 200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR lens at 1/2500th second, f 2.8, ISO 640.
