Sleep

Thursday. To bed early to spend more time listening to the news than futz with the tablet, although I did watch the first half of the final episode in the new Longmire series. Hasn't held me as well as the earlier series, but watched it without too much complaining. Lights out by nine to awaken at five-thirty, well rested, but with over thirty minutes to kill. Which I did listening to the radio. What's happening with the L.A. fires? Democracy Now!?

Left after six-thirty to walk under a clear sky, the wind blowing, but not too cold. Warmer, I was guessing, than it was yesterday. Had the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee breakfast over the papers. Be curious to see what the reaction is in Palestine and throughout the Mideast to Trump's decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem. Always something being added to mix up the pot.

Again, nice day, nice walk home. I was surprised at how pleased I was after taking those pictures yesterday, not so much because I got a pile of “good ones”, but for the few I liked, I was surprised at how pleased they made me feel. Remembered why I became so absorbed with taking them in the first place.

Because you're nuts?

That and because this oddball photo journey has been so pleasing.

Later. Nice day, the Weather Underground web site saying it reached sixty-seven degrees earlier this afternoon. I haven't gone out, of course. Watched the last of the Longmire episode and series just to get it done. What else? Looked at the photographs I'd taken yesterday and found there were a few more I could process, coming up with enough for a web section and so, although some of them could be better (when has that not been the case?), we'll put one up tomorrow.

Evening. To bed early again. Nothing on television, burned out on the tablet, mind fried for adding anything here and so to bed as has been the routine now for a while. Means we'll awaken early, no doubt, but what the hell? At least it's easy to get to sleep.

The photo up top was taken yesterday at the Oakland City Hall with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
