Think
Friday. Another morning much like yesterday morning, lights out after nine to awaken at five and then doze off until six before getting up on a cold, but not totally uncomfortable, morning and drive to breakfast after six-thirty. No excuses, I'd prepped myself to drive last night, more from the reports of the temperatures in the high thirties than any thought it would be too cold to walk. Christmas is coming. Relax.
Had the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee breakfast. After yesterday's arrival of the Harry & David array of various temptations I figured best to watch out. Besides, the oatmeal did appeal. It did.
They'd lowered the price of regular gas from $3.03 to $2.99 yesterday and then raised it back up again today. When walking to the card shop on Lakeshore yesterday I noted the gas station at the Highway 580 exit was selling regular at $3.49 for regular, a full fifty cents more a gallon. How do they get away with that? Because they're at a highway exit and people getting off needing gas don't know the difference?
Still, so far, so good. Just the one picture returning to the car, sun and reasonably clear skies out there now as I write, we'll see how the day progresses. The head seems clear, none of the tiredness of previous days, and we'll be careful if the damned sinus-upper palate thing starts to get nasty again, as it did yesterday, and take another dose of the meds. No need to put up with that particular crap.
Later. Seems a bit cold and so the heat's on, making it now three days in a row, the first time it's been on this season. Well, it is winter, it's not supposed to be a surprise. Let's hope this feeling cold, close to feeling chills, is only outside temperature and not something more.
Jeez Louise you've been listing maladies now for days and weeks and months in a row. Cut it out!
Well, I did take a second dose of the pain meds and the sinus thing is keeping to itself. The throat has been tickling at the edge of sore for several days, but sporadically and doesn't seem to bet getting worse. Maybe add the quilted goose down jacket, as it seems to be colder.
Evening. Watched a movie on the tablet, took a third dose of the pain meds, a first for that, watched the beginning of Four Weddings and a Funeral, a movie I've seen more than once, but found it difficult to watch for more than those first thirty minutes. Loved the thing back then, but I guess I've grown crusty since. If I had to guess.
An up and down sort of day, but a decent day, even with the pain meds. No ocular anythings, even though I ate a bit of chocolate. It's Christmas coming up, we can down a little chocolate. You'd think.
