Day

Wednesday. Another morning similar to yesterday morning with the head reasonably clear after awakening just before six, the attitude good. I'd say. Overcast with low lying clouds setting out for breakfast at six-forty to run into this when I got to Grand. And then into this farther along. Someone had pretty much turned over all the trash cans along Grand, but the thing that got me, made me a little angry, was the fact whomever it was had also pulled out flowers from planters near the fitness center. I usually say I'm in no position to comment or judge on someone who's looking for something to eat in the trash (if they were), but the flowers slowed me down.

Now, now.

Well, it got me taking pictures.

Had the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, still a couple of pounds over the one-fifty target. At least there's no longer anything in the kitchen to temp me away from my usual diet. Still a bit foggy and overcast on the way home, a picture taken in front of the café of the trash on the sidewalk at the bus stop along with the usual pictures of pedestrians, more scattered mounds of trash and that lone surviving bunch of flowers.

Later. Somewhat tired, the sinuses a little rocky, but not enough to take more meds and so a lie down on the bed for an hour before a bath to then listen to the television news at two.

Evening. Watched quite a bit of Democracy Now! that I'd listened to getting up this morning and then stuck around for Midsomer Murders that started at eight, switching back and forth with a Law & Order episode to see which I might watch. This went along for a bit before I realized I'd mixed the two plots together and had no idea which was which or what was happening with either.

It finally occurred to me an ocular migraine was underway and so got up and wobbly shut the lights, T.V. and computer down and crawled into bed. Where did that come from? Managed to get up after maybe ten minutes and brush the teeth, do the dry mouth mouthwash and get back into bed. Not the way to end a day.

The photograph was taken at Jack London Square in December 2008 with a Nikon D2X mounted with a 18 - 200mm f 3.5 - 5.6 Nikkor VR lens .
