Lights

Saturday Another long drawn out awakening too many times to count last night, awakening finally for good at six-forty, five minutes before the alarm was due to sound. Still, felt OK on this overcast, was raining last night morning, the weather people saying more rain later today.

Hell, a good enough excuse to drive to breakfast, park by the restaurant, feed the meter and settle in with the morning papers at the back of the dining area. No complaints. Compared to yesterday, this day has started well.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up to walk across the street to take a proper picture of the gas station sign, cross back to the restaurant and take the usual last two pictures on the way to the car.

Drove straight home to take the selfie and settle in here, essentially blowing off yesterday's entry before posting, processing the morning pictures and starting here. Life in the fast lane, no complaints, we're in the middle of a pandemic and I'm alive and reasonably well.

Later. Uneven night or not last night, I haven't felt tired today. Watched the 49'er/Cardinals game that started at one-thirty, the announcers pretty much saying the 49'ers didn't have much of a chance, but the 49'ers winning twenty to twelve. Not a bad game.

Evening. I did watch the beginning of Rebecca at eight on PBS, decided life was too short to watch for more than about fifteen minutes and so to bed before nine to take the blood pressure (138/78 - didn't like that), lie down for an hour and a half, take it again (116/71), scratch my head and turn out the lights.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
