The Mail Today
Wednesday. To sleep just after ten, although I did get up two or three times during the night to take a pee, not sure why, I didn't drink all that much water in the evening. I don't think. Still, awake just before the alarm to get up and set off for breakfast in good fettle this rainy Wednesday morning. Not a hard rain, but rain as forecast.

The plain waffle with bananas and strawberries with coffee for breakfast, we'll see if this feeling reasonably coherent will now stay with us through the afternoon. Given it's raining I probably won't be going out for a walk (unless it breaks), but staying inside may not be a good test. Still, if the head should fog up sitting here like a lump, I'd think I would notice.

You'd think.

I would.

Later. One in the afternoon so we've made it through a late morning unscathed. A walk (during a lull in the rain) first to the ATM over around on Lakeshore and then a walk back around again to the morning café for potato salad and coffee. We're still watching what we eat. We may even start taking notes, although that would be a break in the pattern and might lead to a resolution of the problem. What then would I have to write about?

Anyway, passed by people taking down what was left of a tall tree beside the library, too bad about the tree, but then I suspect it was in danger of toppling over on the library one of these days if it wasn't done. We'll leave it at that. Trees, after all. No more comments from tree hugger me.

And, of course, the sinuses and upper palate are still aching a bit, but again, nothing ocular has been added to the mix. Good. Clear headed now sitting at the computer. Babbling. As we will.

Later still. A fair amount of time on the guitar, one of the exercises involving spreading the fingers of my left hand wider than fingers were ever designed to spread. I assume with practice they will loosen up and I'll be able to play the damned thing, although I have no idea how long it will take. I guess we'll eventually know.

Raining off and on, but the weather people are now saying maybe no rain over the weekend (overcast, but no rain) after a large storm comes through on Friday. We'll see. Otherwise a good walk today. Hey.

Evening. Nothing on television I either haven't seen or don't need to see, ever. Really. To bed I'd guess at a decent hour again, two magazines I'm interesting in reading having arrived in the mail today.

The photo up top was taken of the Youth Radio entrance doors along Broadway near 17th Street yesterday with a Nikon D3s mounted with an 24-70mm f/2.8 G Nikkor lens.
