About That

Thursday. Lights out again at a decent hour. Hadn't heard any wind outside the bedroom windows and so checked to see if it was raining. It was. OK, we'll be driving to breakfast.

Awake at six-thirty after an uneven but decent night's rest to check the window again. No rain. Still, one must be careful, it looked relatively clear, but it could start raining at any moment and drown us on the way back. Rationalization enough: drove to breakfast, not a drop of rain in evidence, bright sun while walking home.

Later. A bath after posting yesterday's entry and then a nap. Tired. So much for thinking I'd had a good night's rest, I guess, finally getting up over an hour later to head out the door to the 7-11 look-alike for an ice cream bar and a package of peanuts. I know, but that's what I did. Rationality didn't partake in any part of it.

A picture or two of the apartment house construction site on the way home, no progress to document as the construction does in fact seem to be done. Back to the apartment to eat the peanuts before lying down for an hour and another nap. The skies are clear, the sun is out and I've been conked out for a good part of the afternoon. We shall see what the evening may bring.

Evening. Watched a bit of Charlie Rose and that was it for television for the evening, to bed and to maybe watch something on the tablet, maybe get to sleep earlier than I should. Looks as if there may not be any rain in the morning - some chance of rain tomorrow, they're saying - and so we'll walk to breakfast. Best to walk. To sleep and then to walk. Sleepwalk.

You've obviously run out of gas.

No doubt about that.
