Embarrassing
Sunday. To bed and lights out at eight-thirty to awaken at six. I was indeed tired after running around yesterday and one would hope a lesson was learned. But we'll see. Feel pretty good this morning and so a drive to breakfast (lesson learned?) and back on another soon to be sunny day. Pictures to process. Only enough for but one section and I may have to stretch with one or two for that, but we'll get them done and maybe look at fixing the things I don't like about the earlier parade sections. Maybe.
Later. Put together what did turn out to be but one section of photographs of the New Year Parade for artandlife. Photographs of just the forming up of the parade. But they're done and we're done.
A walk over by the lake and then on to the ice cream shop on Lakeshore, deciding I didn't really want any ice cream and so walking on to the bagel shop thinking yogurt, but then realized it would be useful to cross over to the bank ATM and avoid having to do it tomorrow. And yogurt in what looked to be a crowded bagel shop turned out not to appeal. Weird if consistent.
No thought to walk the lake, but standing at the ATM I realized I hadn't walked up and over the hill on Mandana in some time and so up and over Mandana, passing by what I assumed was another almond tree, a younger one, maybe that's why it was still in flower. The almonds along Grand are pretty much done.
And so a good walk, the Mandana hill adding the right touch of tiredness, making the two or so mile outing worthwhile. One day does not an exercise routine make, but we'll see, we'll see. If I play it right it may just drive me out and on to places I haven't been to in a while, maybe even new places. He said. If I play it right. He says a lot of things when he's sitting at the computer it seems. He does.
Later still. Hungry finally and so over to the burger drive-in to bring home a grilled chicken sandwich. The weight is still a couple of pounds under one fifty-five and I'm assuming anything you buy at a burger place will not cause you to lose weight. This hasn't been on my mind, really, and they do make a good grilled chicken sandwich.
A bit sore and tired, so I'm still suspecting the walk did some good.
Evening. A repeat of an Elementary I didn't need to see again, otherwise nothing on television and so time on the tablet and to catch up on some of the recent magazines. Reading, an ancient skill I once practiced to distraction, and now I'm lucky to check out more than the pictures in half the magazines I still get in the mail.
Photographer: pictures. That at least makes sense.
Doesn't make it any the less embarrassing.
