Home

Friday. To bed early, lights out before ten to awaken then just before six. Up thinking it was Saturday before the head cleared and I remembered it was Friday, the day the rains were due to stop. Looked out the window and it wasn't raining. I didn't think.

Walked for the first time in a week to breakfast, albeit feeling a bit “logy” as opposed to being physically tired, unless it was a measure of both. Lack of exercise in this last week? Hmm. The apple-sausage (whatever that is), country potatoes, eggs over medium, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Relatively substantial thinking to see if it wouldn't aid with this “logy” business.

A walk home taking but one picture. No obvious cleverness in the chosen subject, backing off a full stop so the flower itself wasn't totally blown out, but still coming up with something to make you more scratch your head wondering what the photographer was thinking other than anything else. He'll let you know if he himself ever figures it out.

Later. The rain does seem to have run its course and so a walk (after a nap) to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription refill and then on to the Lakeshore ATM before returning to the apartment. Felt better for getting outside. Still some of the logy feeling and, I suspect, the walk was a bit tiring. More walking is obviously in order. If this gets worse we're going to have to do something radical about it. Not the fitness club, we're not delusional yet, but still something that will have an effect. Exercise in other words.

Still clouds as I was setting out, but the sun dominated on the walk back and so went by the burger shop to pick up a grilled chicken sandwich. Debated it, the thought of how it would taste wasn't encouraging, but hungry and there wasn't anything at home that would suffice. Turned out alright.

Later still. Another dose of the pain meds to see if it would knock off just enough of what's happening with the sinuses to ease them back. Feel better. Let me forget they're there. Otherwise listening to the usual news broadcasts, re-listened to the Charlie Rose “America First” discussion, generally feeling better.

You going to be up for the Chinese New Year Parade tomorrow in San Francisco?

Wish it didn't start when it's getting dark.

Evening. Haven't had to turn the heat on all day, which is good, as my electric bill has doubled in these last two months. Not a big deal, as the bill has never been all that large, but nice not to be uncomfortably cold when you get home.

The photo up top was taken at the January 20th Trump protest at Frank Ogawa Plaza with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
