Complicated

Friday. Lights out before ten, my lights back on at five-fifteen. OK, too early, but put the day together and headed out walking to breakfast on an overcast, but no signs of incipient rain morning, to arrive before seven, the restaurant open, the day begun.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the papers a bit larger on Fridays and so not finishing up until just before nine. Still overcast, but no danger of it raining, and so a comfortable enough walk home, taking the usual pictures to include the selfie in the apartment building lobby. Nice to get home.

Screwed around longer than usual with yesterday's entry, more for the fact the operating system had updated yesterday, the process taking well over an hour to install, to discover the FTP software didn't work when I tried to open it for posting. An update eventually cured the problem, but interesting. I'm wondering if I've had this computer and operating system long enough now to have it fraying at the edges. How many device drivers are out of date? I do check, I know the routine. Well, we'll know sooner than later.

Later. Ran a glucose test, figuring I went through so much trouble getting the thing together that I should run them at least take them daily in the beginning. Came in at 94, three hours after having finished breakfast. Within the desired range from what I understand.

It's been raining on and off, mostly off, and so decided to walk to the barber shop to schedule a haircut appointment (hoping they might be able to take me in right then), but ended up scheduling one for ten tomorrow morning. Back to the apartment to take a bath (and clean the unruly hair).

Evening. Nothing on television, although I checked out three different series to see if I could get one to reel me in, and so went to bed again not long after seven to continue with this and that on the tablet, turning the lights out at nine-thirty.

The haircut at ten tomorrow, maybe drive whether it's raining or not in order to return to the apartment, finish this and post in order to set out for the appointment and arrive on time. A simple enough solution to a simple enough task, so why do I think it complicated?
