Monday. Lights out by ten to awaken then at six. Good. Up to head out to breakfast on an overcast and chilly morning, the weather people saying another storm due later this afternoon. The restaurant was open at five minutes to seven and so settled in with the papers, ordering the two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit up and coffee for breakfast. So far, so good.
Finished up by a quarter to nine, the teachers back, picketing below the Lakeview school, and so pictures. Another of a Spin scooter, a brand that's started showing up recently on the sidewalks. On home, still overcast, but no sign yet of rain and, of course, another selfie on the way up to the apartment.
Later. Set out all bundled up to the bus stop as it didn't look as if it would rain in the next couple of hours and wanting to photograph the teacher's strike demonstration scheduled for noon at in Frank Ogawa Plaza. Stood shivering for maybe two minutes before deciding it was too cold to be heading downtown and so scooted right back to the apartment and turned up the heat. Still, good that I'd had the energy and interest in photographing the thing with only minor regrets.
Otherwise listening to the various news programs droning on in the background while surfing news sites on the web. The rain did come, but not until after two in the afternoon, and so maybe the teachers were spared getting wet.
Evening. Watched a Finnish detective episode of Johan Falk – Juvenile Infiltrator at six and stayed around to check out Look of a Killer – Good Brother, Bad Brother, Part 2, again in Finnish, both of them just odd enough, when compared to U.S. series of this kind, to keep me watching.
To bed after nine to listen to the news for maybe twenty minutes before turning out the lights, the atmospheric river winds playing about outside the windows.
