Friday To sleep not all that long after ten to awaken at six, just in time to listen to Democracy Now! before getting up and setting out walking to breakfast on another clear morning, arriving to enter the dining area and settle in with the papers. Not a bad walk, not a bad start to a day.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up after nine to set out for home under a bright sun, the temperature fine. Probably just a matter of chance, but there seems to be more bicycles on the street in these last few days, not sure it that means anything. Otherwise home to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in here at the computer to go through the morning web routine.

Later. I put off finishing setting up the Amazon Fire tablet until tomorrow. Or later. Netflix and Prime run reasonably well, but I haven't been able to load Britbox. You can subscribe to Britbox through Amazon Prime and I'm wondering if Amazon has set it up that way, a way to nick a share of the subscription price. Every other Amazon product was loaded during setup which put me off. But we'll see.

Otherwise spent time on the tablet, took a bath, listened to the PBS Newshour and then more tablet through the afternoon.

Evening. Watched the first half hour of Inspector Morse at eight, an episode I haven't seen before. Half an hour was enough.
