Noted

Wednesday To sleep early and so awakened then at just before six, the usual routine when it's lights out before ten. So good, I guess. Up to walk to breakfast under sunny clear skies, the weather people saying into the low seventies again today, arriving at the restaurant around the usual time to enter the dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee this time. We're still working on the weight, but it's been better these last few days. Finished up just after nine to walk home under the still bright sun taking pictures where I found them, most old, one or two new.

Bright sun walking home, another bicycle rider caught waiting at the light under the 580 Overpass and two snapshots of the street as I was walking, home to take the selfie as usual and then settle in at the computer, the mind wandering more than usual before I was finished.

Later. Bailed early here, crapping out before I'd finished the morning entry above, but then surprised myself and did the laundry, starting it well after noon. It was time, still had clean t-shirts and shorts, but it had been four weeks and that's always been the definition of when excuses don't cut it anymore and you have to get it done. I did put off folding the socks though until tomorrow.

Otherwise another cookie-cutter afternoon. Less time on the tablet, more time actually listening to the news broadcasts instead of just having them on in the background and only really listening when something caught my attention.

Evening. Futzed around looking for the written record of the virus vaccination appointment I have scheduled for next Wednesday. Where was it? What was it? An email? On the web? Finally dialed into my health care provider's web site and found it under appointments.

How did I just totally forget how I'd put it together? It began with a phone text letting me know I could look for an appointment online and I'd saved that message and written the time and address on my kitchen calendar, but I couldn't remember the confirming piece that was missing. Another memory glitch noted.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
