Older Gets Older
The layoff mechanism seems clear: A manager informs his people, section by section, a certain number of people in that section are given 60 days notice, then on to the next section, day after day throughout the week. Our section will not lose anyone and I therefor have a job, theoretically though the end of the year, but my guess is it will be reviewed every quarter. How's the economy? Hard to say. In March. Or September.
My Neurologist does not think it's the inner ear, so we will start with the least pleasant possibility and run some brain scans next month. I have no gut feeling about this brain business. Does it feel serious, this dizziness? Could be. I have it to some degree right now. I've had it on and off for some months. Do I have a bad feeling about it? Not the scans, I want to get them done, but what they might find. Another month, another deadly disease. Getting older gets older.
