San Francisco Gay Pride parade

Friday. Finally, the energy and focus today to work on Art and Life. No, nothing posted yet, it will undoubtedly take me months to convert the old site to the excellent new one the Wandering Nederlander (who appears, of all things, to be without lights and up to his ass in snow at the moment on an Greek island) has designed, but these things take time. Believe me, I know.

I've been waiting on Fed Ex these last two days to deliver necessary items for my photography session tomorrow. They were due Thursday, didn't arrive on Thursday, didn't arrive today and their web site says they're stuck somewhere in their Oakland facility, expect them Monday. So they're late and won't be here until after the session. Such is life. I'll play with them next week to get ready for another project I have in mind shooting a lot of studio portraits (more practice working with studio light and photographing people's faces in a formal setting). I'm on schedule at this pace to become a “real” photographer somewhere around 2050. That's soon enough, you understand, here in SoleProprietorLand.

The photograph was taken at the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D2x mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR Nikkor lens at 1/160th second, f 5.6 and ISO 200.
