News Hour Nap Friday. Pancakes this morning which had to be mollified later at the apartment by drinking tap water while lying down. OK, too much eaten too quickly. Add it to the list of do's and don'ts.
The energy level still good, the day clear, the sun out, the drought getting longer and more severe, what to do to get a picture for today's entry? We'll see. I myself am curious. (As you can see I went back to a photo taken last year which I like very much.)
The UPS guy just left a package with the refills I ordered online for my Uniball pens. I mentioned I'd gone looking for refills locally a few days ago and couldn't find any so I ordered them online through Amazon. The thought occurred, after I placed the order of course, that the last set of refills I'd ordered (I believe over the Internet) had been the wrong size and wouldn't fit. Had I made the same error a second time? Turns out I hadn't. Eight empty pens (I'll turn up more as time passes) now have refills. Do you think this foolish? You have no idea. Happiness is a proper (working) pen. You get similar results when buying Ferrari automobiles and bottles of Cristal.
Later. A walk down by the lake to take a couple of pictures, nothing too spectacular, but something to run tomorrow. Lunch at a local café out at a sidewalk table, a walk back to the apartment learning ham and cheese sandwiches (hold the onions) on black bread belong on the don'ts side of the list. Or was it the bottle of grapefruit like drink? I say “grapefruit like” in that it was a combination of “ruby red grapefruit” juice and something else. I didn't ask what else. Anyway, twenty minutes lying down sipping water did the trick and by then it was time to watch the news on PBS. Hectic, these days, now that I'm retired.
Sounds like you didn't get around to the self portraits.
Are you kidding? After that walk? While the news hour is running? Interrupt an after the news hour nap?
