Annual Exam
Monday. Lights out by ten to awaken at seven. Seven is good for decent light when walking to breakfast except when it's raining. A quick check. Yes, a very light (you won't get wet if you've dressed for it) rain, and so, bundled up in raincoat and hat, walked, taking the small Nikon V1 camera along in a jacket pocket. No way a DSLR was going to fit in a pocket and wrapping it in a plastic bag meant you really can't use it. So good, was the thought. The hope.
Anyway, arrived in good time, little rain going, no rain at all coming home. One or two pictures just to see if I remembered how to use the little V1, deciding to reread the manual and maybe recharge the battery later, as it looks like I'll be doing this again, perhaps through the week. A break in the routine. We'll decide to celebrate rather than fret. New year, new routines. Wasn't that the idea?
Later. A walk over to the café across from the apartment house construction site for coffee and a crumbly ginger tasting cupcake, more because the sun was slipping through the cloud cover than any need for a crumbly ginger fix. A brief walk up behind the construction site for a photograph and then back to the apartment for the usual surf the web until I was tired of surfing the web routine. The overcast was increasingly darker as I finished. They're saying rain for another ten days.
Later still. Some of this and that. Feel pretty good, no thought to go out again, some time on the tablet, the usual time listening to the various news programs as I was happily wasting time on the web.
Evening. Watched another movie on the tablet, up to watch the first half of Charlie Rose along with some limited time on the guitar, the annual dermatology exam in the morning.
