Arrive

Tuesday. Another decent night's sleep is the thought, although I said that yesterday and then crashed for over an hour in the early afternoon. Awake, anyway, at six-fifteen, right on target, and so out the door unsure about the weather and finding a very light sprinkle and wet streets. Not enough to get you wet, just tickle the face with very tiny drops as you walked. OK, no damage done, arrived to find the restaurant open and so sat down and started on the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast again, more country potatoes and eggs if you don't count the bacon, a taste more than a serving. Ah, well. Whatever is said, that was breakfast.

Finished up by a quarter to nine and set out for home, the pandorea flowers now history and so the usual shots of people on the sidewalks and the flowers below the Lakeshore school. I'd said it wasn't in session from the recent lack of scooters parked at the entrance, assuming the students were the ones using them, but heard kids out on the playground area by the school and so I'm wrong about it not being in session. We will see if we can find out what classes they're giving on the web. But later, you understand.

OK, home, still some very slight rain while walking, although less, I think, than while I was walking in. Home to snap a selfie in the lobby and settle in for what they're saying will be a light rain through the rest of the day before turning heavy tonight, not sure about tomorrow.

Later. Added the Social Security information that arrived in the mail to Turbo-Tax, went through the current magazines and carted the ones I'd read (and older ones I hadn't) downstairs to the trash, ordered another pillow for the bed and not much else. Spent time watching a BBC series on the tablet that I find frustrating at points, but is different enough to keep me plowing through its episodes. Two packages due today, one of them that pillow. Ordered it online this morning and they say it will arrive by nine tonight. I guess so.

Evening. Watched the speech. Mostly. The pillows and sweater I'd ordered arrived. The sweater fit just fine and so ordered another in a different color from Land's End and the pillows look good. You never know, whatever they are, until they arrive.

The photograph was taken at the 2010 Mochi Ceremony at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum with a Nikon D3s mounted with an 70 - 200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR II lens at f 4 at 1/30th second, ISO 3200.
