Anodized Black
I was thinking that the first entry I'd made on my old NBBC web page that approximated a conversation with the reader, a bit like a journal entry in other words, was posted one year ago today. But it wasn't. It was January 24th, 1998. High, ho. I'm not even going to put a link to it, consisting, as it did, of two paragraphs of mush. An appropriate beginning, though: Two paragraphs of mush. The next entry wasn't until March where I seem to have used my just acquired film scanner to scan some old pictures of Philippa (the lovely Philippa, aka Ziggy Stardust of Ladbroke Grove, London) and the Sole Proprietor, age 6.

I very much liked Philippa, she's an important part of my past. Curious times, curious relationship. I'll write about that here over the next couple of months, I have no doubt, abysmal blabbermouth that I am. Be more about me than her, of course, but then they always are.

The light stands arrived at the office today and they're sitting in the kitchen with the strobes attached. This weekend I'll shoot some things on film and with the digital, see if I can't put something up Saturday or Sunday. Rather nice things, very professional looking, anodized black.

The banner photograph was taken at a flea market entrance, I believe, in the mid 70's on Kodak Tri-X.
