Retired Life
Wednesday. No fireworks this evening at Jack London Square, something about a fire danger because of too much construction in the area, construction that may block the fireworks for years to come. Bummer. I guess. Still, it was always a lot of work to photograph and I've been invited to a party later this afternoon over in El Cerrito. The head is the same old aching head, but what the hell, a little alcohol and the head feels better and, I am sure, knowing the dissolute swine who will be in attendance, alcohol will be served.
Later A good late afternoon and evening, barbeque and more barbeque, beer, wine and conversation. I'm not sure how good I am at conversation, anymore. Sometimes I'm up, sometimes I'm down and the older I get, the younger the crowd. Such is retired life, here in Oakland.
