Sleep Tonight
Tuesday. To sleep late, a light sleep, awakening briefly more times than I like to think, the temperature warm and humid, the fan on all night long to finally awaken and get up with the alarm. Still, a decent walk to and from breakfast.
Later. A nap of sorts when I got home, up finally on a still overcast morning to put on a light jacket over the t-shirt to at least get in a walk, no particular thought to take apartment house photographs, just get out the door and see where that might lead. Maybe walk over toward the morning café along Grand, cross the street at the theater and walk toward Lakeshore? He said.
A bus and I arrived simultaneously at the stop across from the theater and so a bus downtown to get off at Latham Square for the usual walk along the construction area, taking the usual photographs, shooting as you must by holding the camera up over my head to clear the fence. OK, that's done. No complaints.
OK. A walk to the bagel shop in the City Center at what was by then twelve-thirty to get a turkey and Swiss cheese sandwich (no onions) on a poppy seed bagel and coffee, eating it at the usual table outside. For all my lack of ambition I seem to be making progress. Now to stay on a roll and catch the one o'clock bus home.
To get off at the 7-11 look-alike, pick up a box of Good & Plenty and then walk on to the apartment house construction site, the sky now pretty much clear and the sun getting warmer. So pictures and then on to the apartment to sit here in front of the fan. Better with the fan.
Later still. Did today's photographs and then spent the rest of the afternoon reading my various news sites or watching whatever on the tablet. No regrets. Which is maybe not the way I should be looking at it. Ah, well. It's a Tuesday, not a lot we're going to do about it.
Evening. Nothing on television, checked to see who was being interviewed on Charlie Rose and listened for about twenty minutes (The Iran agreement) before going to bed. Not as warm as it's been these last two evenings, maybe we can get in a proper night's sleep tonight.
