Surprised

Friday. At least I did get to bed early and to sleep early last night, to wake up somewhat early this morning not long after six. Off to walk to breakfast on another overcast, but they're saying cooler morning, although they're also saying the humidity will be up. We'll see.

I didn't complete testing Lightroom last night with the updated driver and the disabled video card co-processor, opted for bed instead and so we'll work on yesterday's Latham Square and Medicare photographs to confirm it's OK. Yesterday had more things that needed to be done than I had the energy to do them. Something that's now close to the norm.

Now, now.

You wonder. Add on a couple of memory glitches experienced in these last couple of days and it makes you wonder. Best, I suspect, to just put them aside, make a mental note if you have to, and get on with the more important of life's activities such as consuming the clever things streamed to you by all these clever electronic devices.

Now, now.

Well, as said: the day isn't yet too warm, we have pictures to process through the rest of the day and the sinuses are behaving. We'll survive.

Later. Lightroom works just fine, which is good. Clear headed, also good, so a bus to Latham Square at eleven-thirty after an email from the Oakland civil engineer letting me know I could still access the third story stairwell window above the Square without getting myself locked inside. Three goods now and it's not yet even noon.

So Latham Square pictures, walking on then to the City Center, crossing 14th Street at Broadway where tents were being erected in preparation for Art & Soul tomorrow, arriving in the City Center and, seeing the crowd, deciding this isn't going to work. Not hungry and there was probably enough time left to catch the bus home on Broadway, catching it just as it arrived. Four goods now at noon.

Off at the 7-11 look-alike to pick up a box of Good & Plenty, a walk up behind the apartment house construction site to take today's pictures. We bailed yesterday, probably best not to do it too often, particularly as I discovered they'd made progress I was unaware of on the building exterior.

Later still. Sat and worked on the photographs, finished and then put together and posted another section of Latham Square images. Clear headed, none of yesterday's crappy little symptoms that makes me think I've got to be more rigorous in not eating foods listed on the ocular migraine to be avoided list. No cheese in particular. Then again, who knows? Started today with a plain waffle, mixed fruit and black coffee. More plain waffles, mixed fruits and black coffee (cut half with water). We'll rethink our chocolate relationship later.

Evening. Watched a New Tricks at seven I've seen before, but didn't remember anything about who done it or how it turned out until the very end, if then. Knew I didn't want to watch the Midsomer Murders that started afterward at eight and Charlie Rose was doing three different interviews of no interest to me whatsoever. But a good day, clear headed, not too warm, shot some pictures and processed them in good order. A nice day, pleasantly surprised.

The photo up top was taken at the Medicare 50th Anniversary demonstration/celebration at Oakland City Hall with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
