Prime

Friday. Lights out by ten to awaken at five minutes to six and catch most of the KPFA five minute news broadcast before Democracy Now! started at six. Too early to be waking up, but not by all that much and so dawdled a bit getting ready to head out walking to breakfast on another overcast, but soon to be sunny morning. Arrived early, but the restaurant was open and so no problem.

Had the two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Seems to have been what I wanted. Read the papers in some detail to head home before nine, taking but one or two pictures.

I have a dentist's appointment at noon and so we'll have to get ready to drive, never knowing what the traffic will be like. I guess we're going to find out what it's like to drive on a Friday at noon.

Later. Set out for the dentist's office in Albany at eleven-ten, found a fair amount of traffic moving, albeit slowly, but at least moving well enough to arrive thirty minutes later and check-in at the office and then take a quick walk to a card shop to see if I could find a birthday card needed for Sunday. The shop had a reasonably large collection of cards, but nothing I liked on hand. Back to the dentist's office by noon and into the chair ten minutes later, the hygienist running late. The hygienist is always running some ten minutes late, but she's also the best hygienist I've every found, so no complaints.

The drive back to the apartment in similarly heavy traffic, heavy in the sense it would have been commuter hour traffic ten years ago before the population exploded. What the hell, got home in one piece, no problems driving. other than the time involved, and we're done with the dentist for another four months, the teeth, she said, in good shape.

Evening. Tired and so spent time attempting sleep on the bed, time watching things I don't want to admit to (trying to) watch on the tablet, both Netflix and Prime.
