Sleep

Friday. To sleep again around eleven to awaken (again) just before six to listen to the usual news programs before driving to breakfast, arriving slightly earlier than usual to settle in at the usual table.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up just after nine to set out for the smog test station on Lakeshore to find no one else in line and so exited the car to take a couple of pictures as the technician hooked up his meter and tell me the driving I'd done yesterday hadn't had an effect and so drive it some more, just the usual driving and then bring it back for another test. My usual driving? Three miles a week? Fewer if I'm good about getting the walking in?

What the hell, back to the apartment to take the selfie and finish up yesterday's entry, post and then start with this. Where to drive tomorrow and Sunday to get enough miles in to make a difference? I do want to get the damned thing done.

Later. Seventy-six degrees by three this afternoon and so, naturally, I spent the afternoon lying on the bed watching another series on the tablet, getting up to watch/listen to the news on television at three and then back to the tablet.

Evening. Half watched the first hour of Inspector Morse at eight, decided life was too short to watch the thirty minutes remaining before it finished and so to bed not long after nine to listen to the news until just after ten. One or two fireworks explosions in the distance on this Friday night, but nothing that got in the way of getting to sleep.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
