Night

Monday. Lights out at ten to awaken briefly at five-thirty and then for real at six-fifteen, getting up and driving to breakfast on another cool overcast morning, arriving earlier than usual as they were just then putting the tables out on the patio, settling in at my table finally with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast (we're still a few pounds over our target) finishing up before nine this time to take the usual shortened series of pictures when we're driving and then going straight home to take the selfie and settle down at the computer to finish yesterday's entry. The thought is to go by the smog test shop around eleven, see if this damned car can pass.

Later. It passed! I was surprised that passing surprised me as much as it did. Drove to the shop and fifteen minutes later I was driving home. How long have I been hassling with this?

Home and then a walk in the very early afternoon to get the shingles shot at the Lakeshore pharmacy. Took an hour round trip, home in time to listen to the news at two. Two tasks I've been wrestling with for weeks now completed, the second shingles shot had needed to be gotten by the end of this month.

Evening. Should have gotten the shot in the right arm rather than the left, forgetting I sleep on my left side and it's now started to ache uncomfortably as it did when I got the initial shot. I'm guessing it's not going to like having pressure on it. Let's hope it's going to be sensitive for just this one night.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
