Turns Again Tomorrow
Friday. To bed to read for a bit last night, turning the lights off at ten, to sleep not all that much later. On purpose. We'll see if it helps.

Anyway, up with the alarm, slowly; out the door to breakfast and back on this, another overcast morning. I need to get another follow up Protime blood test today, I was supposed to get one Monday and let it slip, why or how I'm not sure. It's written down on my calendar in red ink, yet there it sits, four days old, glaring out at the kitchen. On me, apparently, it had no effect.

There's a MoveOn.org protest scheduled in front of Dianne Feinstein's office in San Francisco at noon. I'm on their email list and responded that I'd attend. Be interesting to see if I do. It's not hard to get to her office from BART, a matter of walking something like a short block, but given the weather, given the whatever, given the state of my head (clear, at the moment, but not always the best predictor), I'll have to see what happens. I'd like to. I need the pictures and the outing. And I've never been all that happy with Feinstein.

Later. Back now from the blood test and picking up two prescription refills, maybe a three mile walk with a couple of bus rides thrown in to make it happen. Still overcast, just a hint of a mist in the air a small part of the time, but feeling good, clear headed and all the rest of that, so the day (hup!) has started well. Except, for all the hupping, I won't make it to San Francisco for noon. I got back to the apartment too late to reach it in time, so we'll call our tasks for the day done.

Not a picture in all that walking, though. I can see why, but I'm not sure it's necessarily a good sign.

Later still. An hour's lie down to listen to the radio. Nothing out of whack, just, you know, a light nap on an overcast day, a way to build up steam for heading out for lunch later when I'm hungry. It's one in the afternoon, time to get hungry.

Mid-afternoon. After these last few days it's really nice to be stepping out checking the surroundings with an interested eye. Yes it is. A couple of photographs of the Lakeview school entrance stairs, realizing later, when I put them side by side, it would have been better to have included more of the middle railing dividing the stairs, enough to show the entire banner without the missing arm and leg on the Lakeview “K”. Maybe I'll shoot it again tomorrow. I might. Really.

The sun has finally come through the clouds, the temperature warm without being too warm, the attitude (have I mentioned this?) much better. Let's see if we can't do some things that I've been putting off, one or two small things, they don't have to be much, while there's some afternoon left.

Evening. Another Italian police procedural at six, although one I'm able to watch. No need to describe it any further. Played along with it on the guitar, went over the new riffs, the old screwed up riff and more of the various barre chords played to both blues and a shuffle beats. I've made progress. Also good. We're collecting goods.

To bed at a decent hour, I think. I hope. We'll see how the world turns again tomorrow.
