Before Ten

Monday. A long day yesterday and so tired, good, to bed early, good, to sleep by ten to awaken at about six and get up to walk to breakfast on another sunny morning, they're saying as warm today as it was yesterday. Still just under one fifty-one on the scale this morning and so a large breakfast, taking a picture of another lone pandorea flower that bloomed recently. Never give up is their thought, I guess. Seems to work for people too from what I've read.

Today we process pictures. I thought the photography went well yesterday, although I'm not sure the photo opportunities presented as many pictures as they well may have at earlier parades. OK, maybe only two sections, better than one, I really haven't done enough of them by now to know.

Later. Spent the rest of the morning working on the parade photographs. Two sections, but it won't be until tomorrow when they're finished. Took a break to take a bus downtown to Latham Square to find workers present, the Broadway center median now planted. So the usual set of pictures.

It was now approaching one and so over to the City Center to have a tuna fish bagel sandwich and coffee at an outside table at the bagel shop. Hungry for a change, although I must admit, hungry or not, there was a certain antipathy to what I was eating. Still, nothing else I could think of seemed to appeal.

The bus I was waiting for on Broadway didn't come and so one of the free buses to Grand to then check the NextBus app. It turned out the bus was coming, albeit twenty minutes late. Better than no bus at all, we weren't complaining. Tired, was feeling off and so, when the bus arrived, straight back to the apartment to lie down for twenty minutes before looking again at the parade pictures.

Evening. Watched Democracy Now, kept working on the parade photographs in between periods of lying down on the bed to clear the head until the notion of getting back to the photographs began to make sense again. Which seems to have worked, as it allowed me to finish two sections and post them to artandlife.

It's nine right now, the television set is playing an episode of Doctor Blake Mysteries in the background. Easy enough to follow along news and discussion programs while they're playing in the background, less easy when you need to actually see what they're doing and so I suspect we're going to say the hell with it pretty soon and go to bed long before ten.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
