Morning

Monday. And indeed dropped off to sleep before ten to awaken at just after six, no brief awakenings during the night to turn over and glance at the clock and wince. Maybe we'll skip the “feeling tired” business for a Monday. A walk under overcast skies to arrive again three or four minutes before a waitress arrived, the temperature comfortable, the head seemingly clear. Relatively clear. I think.

Had the two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes and coffee for breakfast, reading the papers with some interest. There's too much going on that's teetering along at the edge to comment other than no one's quite sure how “close to the edge” we are or whether it's the edge of a sidewalk or the edge of an abyss.

Still overcast on the walk home, although it looks like it will clear up later in the morning, taking the usual pictures. Yesterday's entry was a mess, commas inappropriately scattered all over the place, none of the later in the day entries having been written. Tired has its consequences, I guess. Time to do some needed chores around the apartment? Why am I even thinking/talking about that? We'll know soon enough.

Later. OK, out the door to take a picture at the construction site just up my hill to discover, since the fence was covered with canvas and I had to use the live view screen in bright sunlight, that the photograph wasn't properly centered. OK, we'll go back later.

A bus to the construction site at Valdez and 23rd taking but four or five pictures to get a sense of their progress and then on to the ATM on Broadway and the City Center, taking a picture of the construction site at 17th on the way.

Had a strawberry shortcake cookie and a small coffee in the Rotunda building more because I haven't been there in some time and there was still room at their tables at the start of the noon hour crowd.

Walked on then through the City Center to the Asian Cultural Center for an ice cream cone: two scoops, mango and green tea, both absolutely excellent. Because I'd worn the light weight black wind breaker and I was now overly warm and starting to regret it? Maybe. But I suspect it was the ice cream and I should be able to use the memory to go back again as I haven't been to the Cultural Center in forever.

So a good outing. A walk to Broadway and caught a bus that was just arriving and now home to take a breather. Still feel fine, cooler now sitting here in front of the fan, listening to the news and processing the pictures.

Evening. And in the middle of writing the above the mouth went dry and the brain turned off, but without the sparkly blob when closing my eyes. An ocular migraine put me down for an hour, passing then and letting me finish this. Where it came from, I don't know. Haven't had one in a long time.

Nothing I want to watch on television, spent an hour watching a Korean thing on the tablet once the ocular thing had passed and so now I'll see if I can clean this up and post links in the description of the afternoon. And, if not, then tomorrow morning.
