Nine

Friday. Another getting to sleep soon enough after ten to awaken briefly at four, zone out and awaken just after six to get up and walk to breakfast under overcast skies, arriving to settle down at my inside table and start on the papers. Just like that. Clear headed and not particularly tired.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up not long after nine to set out for home, again under overcast skies, the light, at least, good for taking better balanced flower pictures. They're saying a high in the mid-sixties later today and, in the following two days, the low seventies.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, post and start on this morning's photographs, feeling an ocular migraine coming on before I'd finished and so stopped and lied down on the bed. A strong one. I ended up sleeping well into the afternoon.

OK, I haven't had but a very few brief ocular migraine incidents now in months, even during fairly long periods when I'd tested stopping the med that controls them to see if I still needed it. I'd stopped taking it at the beginning of this week and so started again after the nap.

Later. Fairly clear headed for the rest of the afternoon, spent it starting a couple of movies on the tablet, both of which proved to be written by idiots. Well, people who weren't after someone like me in their audience.

Moan, groan.

Yes, yes, just turn the dial and find something else that I do want to watch. I can list the elements that turn me off, but why?

Evening. Started watching Inspector Morse at eight, lasted for maybe ten minutes before retiring. Lights out and radio off well after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
