Morning

Sunday. Again, lots of fireworks noise last night and so to sleep well after eleven, awakening at just after six, the blood pressure holding without having taken the med for what is now the fifth day in a row. Out the door to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then to the restaurant. The first customer to arrive (as usual) and so settled in with the papers at my usual table. Overcast and cool, they're saying sun later with a high of seventy degrees.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up at nine to walk to the car and snapping the usual much shortened series of pictures before driving straight home, take the selfie in the apartment house lobby and settle down at the computer. The usual attempt to unscramble yesterday's entry before posting, processing the morning pictures and then starting right here.

Later. A nap just after noon that lasted for two hours. My, my. Those fireworks did keep me up last night. A sunny afternoon, spending it going through old pictures, finding one of my father that I hadn't seen before taken in December 1967 which I posted to Facebook for Fathers Day.

Evening. Another nothing on television evening and so to bed to spend too much time watching a series on the tablet, finishing around nine-thirty. They say a tablet's blue light makes it difficult to get to sleep, something about the needed melatonin being depleted. Lights out by ten. We'll know how it goes in the morning.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Street Festival with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
