Come Tomorrow
Saturday. I can say my brain is fried and my muscles ache, that's for sure. I skipped breakfast this morning, sleeping in until eight, and reading more of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo which I'd read well into the evening last night on the Kindle. A quick charge of one of the D3 camera batteries to be sure it was fresh, a quick once over to be sure I was presentable (I should have washed the hair yesterday, but what the hell), a walk down the hill, a bus downtown, a BART ride to Montgomery Street in San Francisco, a walk then to North Beach dragging the camera (most of this trip was done sitting down - was it lack of sleep somehow that made me so tired? - twenty minutes over a cup of coffee across from the City Lights Book Store (I was early and wanted to catch my breath), then on to Mr. & Ms. R's Red Egg and Ginger party. This is my second Red Egg and Ginger party, both held by Mr. & Ms. R, both to introduce first Tobias and now Miles to family, friends and the world. Quite a production!
You shot pictures?
Of course, but back to this fuzzy head and tired feeling. Boy howdy was I feeling blitzed when I got home, although the journey to and from went without a hitch. I guess I really am getting old.
How old?
Ah, my son, I shall be sixty-six, come tomorrow.
