Lights Out
Thursday. Lights out at ten, to sleep soon enough thereafter, but awake again at six to get up too early for it to be light. Thought about it for maybe ten seconds and decided to drive. I need to have a Protime test at a hospital lab later this morning, we'll get in our walking then. A reasonable rationalization if you leave out half the reasons for walking.
Nothing new in that.
A decent breakfast, pictures of the gas price increase at the gas station, a picture of what is now a second pandorea flower in front of the café and now home on another sunny California day.
I did notice that I'd scratched the back of my right hand with the fingernails on my left hand, scratching an itch. A bit more bleeding than I thought it might merit and so we'll definitely get the blood thinner test this morning. Something to think about other than should I take a nap or, if not, what's there to watch on the tablet.
Later. A bus to Broadway and then a walk to the lab to have blood drawn for the Protime test. Decent walk, spent more time than a young man might like while they figured out who'd actually sent me to their lab in the first place before finally getting the blood drawn, but I suspect we're now in business.
A turkey with Swiss cheese sandwich and a V8 juice out at a table at the small deli in the lab building before walking back to Broadway and arriving at the bus stop one minute before the bus arrived. The tasks of the day are done. No pictures, but we'll go by Latham Square tomorrow and get back on schedule.
A call from the new health insurance company to go over the plan particulars, learning the cost of the one prescription refill was so high because there is in fact a deductible, most of which has now been met. I suspect my out of pocket for prescriptions will be about double what they were under the old plan. Too bad, but not fatal.
Again, a sunny day, we'll listen to the news as we always do starting at two and while away the rest of the afternoon.
Later still. Finished watching Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon - Sword of Destiny on the tablet, a Netflix produced film released this year and, I'm assuming, a sequel to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon which I've seen, but don't remember much other than people went flying through the tree tops wielding swords. They were flying in this one too, wielding swords and killing whole bunches of people, men and women both. Seen enough flying through tree top sequels after seeing this one.
Evening. Listened to Democracy Now again, after finding it interesting on the radio when I got up this morning, played a little guitar (screwed around on the guitar) and got thirty minutes into Charlie Rose before heading to bed. Tablet? Lights out?
