Asleep

Thursday. To bed early enough, lights out early enough, to awaken a couple of times, but back to sleep quickly enough to awaken then at ten to six. Still too early, as it often causes me to leave before the East Bay Times arrives, but life is like that. Still not a bad night and that's more than good enough to start the day.

A walk to breakfast on a clear morning, the rains not due until later this evening and then through tomorrow. A couple of pictures this time jacking the ISO on the camera up into the stratosphere to shoot them. Light the light.

The oatmeal with toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Thought about it for a while, actually had a hankering for a grilled hamburger, but went with the oatmeal. Probably could have used the protein, the body sending a message. Maybe tomorrow.

Sun shining on the walk home, a nice day, the temperature not overly warm, the weather people saying a high in the very low sixties. Probably should have added another layer of clothing on the walk to breakfast. Still, nice day ahead, have no idea what I might do, but then I never seem to know anymore. Hard to say if that means we're getting smarter or getting dumber as we stumble ahead.

Later. A bath and then a walk to the ATM on Lakeshore, heading immediately back to the apartment. Nice sun, a walk along the lake on the way to Lakeshore and taking a couple of pictures. The Ghost Ship fire flowers and mementos are still being tended. The majority are gone, but there's quite a few still being looked after, people stopping to examine them in passing.

Evening. The usual listen to, if not watch, Democracy Now! and then check out Charlie Rose later at eight, watching more episodes of a series on the tablet in between. The cardiologist's office had called earlier this morning to say the Protime blood test results looked good and so the day has ended well. Rain tonight, but what the hell, I'm planning on being asleep.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Saint Patrick's Day Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
