Times

Tuesday. I did set the alarm for six-forty again, but awoke at six on the dot and figured what the hell we can drag this out and so got up finally to turn off the alarm and take my time before driving in the rain to breakfast. Definitely raining, no question of walking.

Had the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee breakfast as I'd jumped from under to over one-fifty on the scale this morning for no discernable reason. And, what the hell, that's what appealed. Took my time over the papers having learned by now to add just a bit more time to the meter so as not to push to finish the papers. If we've gone to all this trouble to do this every morning for breakfast, there's no reason to save fifty cents and then have to rush.

The usual pictures heading to the car, the pandorea flowers in focus (mostly in focus) in the rain, the sidewalk empty, the car covered in small flower petals dropped from the tree I'd parked under. I knew I should have avoided the tree for that very reason, but didn't pay any more attention. Went downstairs to the garage again after returning home to wipe the petals off the car with paper towels, not for the first time.

Again, dark and raining, nothing I'm aware of worth watching on television, we'll make do and, as we usually do, one way or another enjoy this late morning and afternoon.

Later. Another day of feeling tired and so took some real naps where I managed to get to sleep and a bath. Took the blood pressure to see if that could be part of it, but the pressure was well within normal range so we'll just sit here and bitch. No sign of an easy fix.

Evening. To bed early, lights out at about the right time while listening to what I could find on the Pennsylvania special election. The New York Times was saying the Democrat was ahead by ninety-five votes with 99% of the vote counted when I turned out the lights. Interesting times.

Yesterday along Lake Merritt taken with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 135mm f 1.2 DC Nikkor lens.
