Ten

Thursday. Lights out before ten to awaken finally at five minutes to six. Just right. Up to set out walking to breakfast, the sky clear, the air not overly cold, passing by a line of Spin scooters across the street along the lake, a first for seeing that many in this area. The restaurant open and well under way this time when I arrived before seven, a sunny day ahead.

The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast to finish up be eight forty-five and set out for home, noting the ten cent increase in the price of regular at the Mobile station across from the restaurant before walking on to take the usual series of pictures, including another of the Spin scooters, all of them still in place beside the lake. Home by nine.

Nothing on the schedule again, the sun quite bright at the moment. The head seems reasonably clear, the sinus-upper palate in check, we'll see what's up for the rest of this day after a nap.

Later. A bath at noon to then lie down on the bed for a couple of hours. Not overly tired, but tired enough and so spent the time on the tablet and listening to the news, the end game now playing out with Brexit getting even more weird, floods in Africa, floods in our Midwest. All good reasons to spend more time on the tablet.

Evening. Tried watching various things on television without success and so to bed before nine, listening to the BBC News at nine and turning it off before ten.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
