Amusing Thought
Sunday. Yesterday I split some of the How Weird Street Faire photographs off the San Francisco Miscellaneous section of artandlife and added them in a new page to the recently created How Weird Street Faire section. Housework. Necessary housework that I've now stopped putting off as I have in the past. And I added another page of twenty photographs to the San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival Parade section. Then I had a couple of flasks of sake and watched my Japanese soaps. A good Saturday, in other words. Nice.
So give yourself a gold star.
Given the fact I shoot candid portraits it's hard to tell the difference between one “parade” and another. If you've looked at, say, twenty of my photographs do those twenty look like every other block of twenty on the site? They might. Doesn't seem to slow me down a whit, but I do occasionally think about it and maybe one day, should the thinking leave me perplexed, I'll change my focus. But not by much. Not by much.
Had breakfast in the apartment this morning: Raisin Bran, strawberries and milk. Bought some strawberries at Safeway last week on a sake run, figuring buying apples, oranges and strawberries would look good on the list when the Safeway marketers review my tally for the month. It won't all be sake, cheese and crackers; sake cheese and crackers. And those four strawberries all sliced up and sprinkled on top of the cereal this morning were good, let me tell you, on this Sunday just after noon.
Later. Dinner at PCB with Mr. F, who's down from Seattle to attend a meeting of company IT managers being held here in Oakland. I kept it to two Guinness along with the turkey plate, trading what gossip I hear from friends who are still with the company. I mentioned above I'd had some sake last night and I did, but for one reason or another, none of them rational, I managed to acquire a weird-assed slightly sweet tasting never before sampled brand at Beverages and More that I don't intend to have again. Ever. Not in the quantity I did last night, anyway. So the day has gone slowly and I've been thinking of behaving more rationally this coming week. Amusing thought.
