Afternoon
Wednesday. Not a bad night's sleep. Spent maybe ten minutes trying various movies and such I was in the middle of on the tablet when I got in bed, didn't find any that drew me in and so lights out before ten to awaken just in time to listen to the KPFA five minute news cast and then Democracy Now! that started at six.
The sky was clear, the temperature not bad and the East Bay Times arriving just as I was heading to the door, breakfast the oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee. More coffee than usual, I must admit.
Again, bright sun, the walk back finding me floating right along, the usual pictures and so we now sit, the day ahead. The Protime blood thinner test later today, so we need to take care of that. The car battery was almost done when I got home and so twenty-four hours of charging seems to do the trick. Well, maybe twenty-six. Warmer weather ahead, stuff to do on the list, one or two of which I have a hunch I might follow through and accomplish. But we'll say no more.
Later. A bus to Broadway and then a walk to the lab, remembering the apartment house construction project at 27th, wondering if they'd finished their excavation stage since last month and learned they had. Took a similar set of pictures of the apartment house complex by the lab.
Turned out I was the first person to arrive, waiting all of five minutes before it opened at one, and so, after having a yogurt mix in a plastic glass at the building café, walked back to Grand to wait on a bus that never came. Well, it did come, but five minutes after I'd decided to walk, knowing in my heart it would pass me by along the way. Tired, the sinuses misbehaving, but home to check the charging car battery (close to done, but not quite yet), sit down in front of the fan and watch television while processing the pictures I'd taken on the way.
Evening. Watched Democracy Now! as I wanted to hear the interview with John Kiriakou that I'd listened to this morning again. Interesting times. We indeedy-do live in interesting times. And that was television for the evening.
You've also been watching Law & Order.
Just one or two episodes. Or three, if you count this afternoon.
