Tussle

Thursday. Lights out at ten, but then taking quite a while to get properly to sleep, noting the clock display the time well into the morning hours. Still, wide awake at quarter after six to get up easily enough and walk to breakfast on an overcast morning, the temperature good.

Had the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, still working on that last pound. Read the papers, finishing up at eight-thirty and walking home, again, in a good mood. Which is not unusual in this our breakfast routine.

Finished and posted yesterday's entry, checked my email and found another post from the same person who'd posted about a robbery at the burger drive-in across the street yesterday saying, yes, there'd been a robbery, but the police had arrested the robber later and recovered whatever money had been stolen and so a happy ending for all but the idiot who will spend no small amount of time in jail for stealing probably no more than a few hundred dollars. At gun point.

Now, now.

Thursday, nothing on the schedule, maybe some pictures later. Enjoyed getting out and taking what pictures I managed yesterday, see if I can duplicate the feat again today.

Later. A bus to the ATM on Broadway at noon, a walk then to the City Center thinking of getting lunch again but found the area and restaurants crowded in the middle of the noon hour and so picked up a box of Good & Plenty and caught a bus home, the Good & Plenty gone by the time the bus reached Grand. Pretty much duplicated yesterday's journey except for the pictures. Have enough pictures of the apartment house construction was the excuse I used.

Back to lie down for a while and attempt a nap before finishing a movie on the tablet, up to listen to the various news programs that start at two while slipping in some time to process May Day photographs. Sunny out there finally, but no thought to go outside.

Evening. Still no sign of a delivery due today by eight now that it's after eight. Nothing I need right away and so no big deal if it arrives tomorrow.

Stayed up long enough to watch the third and fourth episodes of Happy Valley, the same difficulty in making out the dialogue from the accents, but following along with some interest. All the characters seem to be idiots, but to varying degrees and at least interesting enough to keep me up until quarter to ten before going to bed. Tired. Shouldn't be a problem dropping off after last night tussle.
