Ahead

Friday. Lights out by ten again, awakening at a quarter to six, again. OK, listened to the five minute KPFA News, which I find worthwhile, followed by Democracy Now! as I got up and got ready to head out the door under mostly clear skies to arrive at the restaurant at five minutes to seven, the door open, the lights on and coffee being served. Good. A good start.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, not finishing up with the papers until ten minutes to nine, again. Some days you finish early, some days not. A bright sun walking home, the usual sidewalk picture (or two) setting out, the flowers below the Lakeside school, the bicyclists waiting on the light under the 580 Overpass and the Lime scooters by the lake, all signs of a good mood or craziness or both, settled comfortably into our picture taking while walking home. Not sure it matters a jot.

Nice day out there as I sit here now, maybe stick my nose out later and go over to the lake.

Later. A bit stir crazy and so out the door to check the bus arrival times at the stop, one due in six minutes. Sixteen minutes later, no bus, and so over to the lake to walk through the white column pergola area and then back to the apartment, having thought through a long list of places I might like to go or things I might like to eat with none of them calling out for me to come. Not a good sign if this persists. We'll work on it.

Evening. Dialed into a German thing called Tatort: Borowski – Borowski And The Silent Guest and found it odd enough to watch through to the end, realizing I'd seen it at some point in the past, at least as it got toward the end, but found it different and off the wall enough to keep me interested. OK, close to nine, to bed, skip the tablet, listen to the first half hour of the BBC News at nine before turning the lights out and, one hopes sleep, sooner than not ahead.

The photo up top was taken at the How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
