That

Thursday. Lights out and to sleep after ten to awaken briefly at five, get up and take a leak, go back to sleep for an hour and awaken again to listen to Democracy Now! before thinking about getting up. This seems to be the most common routine, repeated this morning after what felt to be a decent night's sleep. No complaints.

Up to drive to the Lakeshore ATM before heading to breakfast, parking in front of the restaurant and entering the closed off dining room to again turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. So far a walk in the park.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, two policemen entering the dining room and having breakfast behind me at a table in the back section, finishing up after nine to head to the car and drive straight home, snapping a selfie and sitting down here to finish yesterday's deathless prose, posting and starting with this.

Later. Yes, yes, more time on the tablet, finally dropping another series that I've been watching now for a while that finally drove me up the wall far enough to quit, this combined with not really watching/listening to the news programs that I follow and that's been the afternoon. Maybe pick up the guitar? How long has it been? How much dexterity have I lost in these last several months since I quit? I'm curious at least.

Evening. Stayed up long enough to see which episode of Vera was playing at eight, realized immediately I'd seen it more than once before and so settled into bed. Early. What to do? More stuff on the tablet? Started listening to the BBC News at nine, decided I'd heard it all before, too many times before, this coronavirus business.

They've been warning you lately with news stories on the paranoia this continuous news barrage creates and I'm thinking best to listen a great deal less. I'm at least not under the gun for income, what with being retired, but I'm more than aware of what's required with all the washing hands, wearing masks, avoiding people demands. The memory is still perfectly capable of not forgetting any of that.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco How Weird Street Faire with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
