Good
Thursday. To sleep before ten to awaken at six, not bad, get up at six-thirty and have breakfast, cereal, orange juice and coffee, but no banana. We're out of bananas, we'll go shopping later. Back to finish and post yesterday's entry and start here. I'm due to set out to have another Protime blood thinner test later at Kaiser and so we'll zone out for the while watching the start of the Yankees-Orioles game on the tablet until we leave at ten.
The drive to Kaiser was a breeze, setting out about an hour later than I had for the first test two weeks ago, and was happy to find a parking space near the front door. And then waited just over an hour for my turn in line to have the blood drawn. Oh, well. The nurse said it was best to arrive first thing in the morning or in the early evening and no, they didn't take reservations. OK, done, the drive home just as fast as the drive to the center, so no complaints.
It turned out the Yankees-Orioles sixth inning had taken an hour to play and so I was able to take up the game at the end of the sixth. I was expecting it to be over. Anyway, good game, Baltimore won with a home run in the bottom of the ninth.
Later. Finally set out for the walk after three. I'd almost set out an hour earlier when it was sunny, but had delayed and then a downpour arrived when I'd have been halfway through, so put it off until three when it look better. Mostly.
The blood pressure had been running high when I measured it at two and I really wanted to know if the walk might bring it down significantly and so off to take the usual set of pictures along the way, no sign of weird vision tricks and the skipping heart that I'd run into yesterday. Home in a good mood and in reasonable shape. The blood pressure reading taken later was really good, over twenty-five points lower than the one I'd taken earlier.
Finished watching a series on the tablet, took the blood pressure again at nine before going to bed and it remained quite good.
